Dry your eyes because the Streets have two important dates coming up. The third album, The Hardest Way to Make an Easy Living, will be out in the U.S. on Tuesday, the 18th. Then they will be embarking on a U.S. tour. If you missed Mike Skinner, the last time he hit the states- unfortunately I did- he is supposed to be great live. He will be touching down on the west coast in early June with shows in Seattle, Portland and San Francisco on the 7th, 8th, and 9th, respectively. The latter will be at the The Fillmore. I'm going to do my best to beat all of the scalpers up when the tickets go on sale. Otherwise I'll be relegated to checking between my online bank statement and eBay to see if I can manage the funds for the overpriced tickets. If I am left searching for scalped tickets, inevitably reality and principle will set in and I'll be at home on June 9th, just like I was for The Hold Steady and Clap Your Hands Say Yeah. If I get tickets, I'm hoping that the The Mitchell Brothers will make the trip to open even though they aren't currently on the bill. If I don't get tickets, I hope they stay in the UK in June.
