Unfortunately, even after much opposition from the city's residents, Pullman, WA has given a conditional approval to a Walmart Superstore building permit.

Those of us who are natives of Pullman associate great pride with our upbringing there. Knowing what a Walmart will do to the local culture and economy saddens me. I realize this is not new news, but it still makes me sick to my stomach.

If you have any doubts about the evils of Walmart read chapter three of Nickel and Dimed by Barbara Ehrenreich, or simply Google "Walmart lawsuit" and see how many thousands of people have been wronged by this corporation.
